Appeal launched to save Belmont

Belmont - the former home of both Eleanor Coade and John Fowles

The Landmark Trust has launched an appeal to raise £2.1m to save one of Lyme’s most important houses. Belmont, the former home of Eleanor Coade and John Fowles has been found to be in a far worse state of repair than was thought when the Trust gained planning permission to return it to its prime as an 18th Century maritime villa.
